Who Aurora is for<\/h2>\n

Some couples are planning a wedding that happens after dark: a winter date, an evening ceremony, string lights instead of daylight. Others just want their invitation to read as an event rather than a document. Aurora is built for both. It rewards a guest who scrolls slowly and takes in the sky changing, rather than one who skims for the address and closes the tab.<\/p>\n

One sky, not sections<\/h2>\n

A single sticky canvas sits behind the entire page, and one number drives it: how far down the guest has scrolled. The bands of content in front of it are panels, not walls; each one fades at its top and bottom edge, so the seams between sections are windows onto that sky rather than hard breaks. Colour stays disciplined against it: near-black through most of the page, one aurora-green accent kept to small surfaces, and nothing competing with the dark for attention.<\/p>\n

The descent<\/h2>\n

If Aurora has one signature, it is the descent itself: deep space and a lit moon at the top of the page, thickening air and the first curtains of green light through the middle, a ridgeline under dawn by the RSVP. A warm gold, the only other colour Aurora spends, marks a handful of specific moments along the way: the dress code line, the note about gifts.<\/p>\n

What your guests get<\/h2>\n

After the names and the date, the page walks through the wedding in the usual order, each section still hung off one centred column so it reads as an invitation rather than a long article. A countdown sits inside the descent. The story runs as a short passage, the schedule lists each event with its venue and a directions link, and a gallery of photographs follows. The practical section answers where to stay and how to get there, and the gift note sits under that same warm gold accent.<\/p>\n

The page ends on the last of the sky, under first light, with the RSVP. Guests answer right there: name, yes or no, party size, a note if they want one. No app, no account, no third-party form. Answers reach the couple the moment they arrive.<\/p>\n

Why it works on a phone<\/h2>\n

On a narrow screen the sky is the one thing that never gets cropped awkwardly: the canvas is sized to the viewport itself, not to a fixed image, so the descent reads the same on a phone as it does on a desktop, just narrower. Motion stays to fades only, and under reduced motion the canvas settles into one composed still instead of animating, so nothing about the page depends on scroll-driven movement to make sense.<\/p>\n
